  • A hospital in Sacramento is looking for experienced PACU nurses for a travel contract.
  • The right candidate will have 2 years of experience.
    • Job Requirements
    • Hold an active BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS and a CA License.
      • Schedule Information
      • Shifts: 10's or 8's.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Unit: PACU
          • Additional Details
          • Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2
          • EMR: Cerner
          • Charge Nurse: Not specified
          • Nurse Aides: Unit Assistant
          • Weekend Requirement: No in-house staff on weekends, Call only
          • Holidays: Rotate in with core staff
          • Scrub Color: Provided
          • Tele: Yes, must be able to read and interpret EKG strips
          • Vents: No
          • Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Yes
          • IV Team: Available if necessary
          • RT 24/7: Yes
          • Pharmacy 24/7: Yes
          • Call: Call would be appreciated
          • Floating: All other Sacramento facilities. Mid-shift float to another facility is rare, but can happen
          • Floor specific orientation: 1 - 2 days in PACU with preceptor
          • Common diagnosis/Types of patients: Total hips/knees, general, daVinci, neuro, urology. Pediatric dental on some Fridays. 1:1 with kids
          • Float between OPS and Main, when necessary
