• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required
• Dysrhythmia exam (BASIC) required prior to acceptance; must be completed within 24-48 hours
• Two attempts allowed for the Dysrhythmia exam
• If your traveler fails the 2nd attempt, they will be made DNU for 6 months with CommonSpirit AZ and Sac

  • A hospital near Sacramento is looking for experienced MedSurg/Tele RN for a travel contract. The right candidate will have 2 years of experience, hold an active BLS, ACLS, NIH and CA License.

    • 2 years of experience as MedSurg/Tele RN
    • Hold an active BLS, ACLS, and NIH certification
    • Hold an active CA License
      • Schedule Information
      • 12 hr shifts
      • Shift starts at 645
      • Report is at the bedside
      • OT and extra shifts are available
      • Self-scheduling is used, but is not finalized until Manager balances it
      • Schedules are out 4 weeks
      • Travelers can access their schedules from home and make themselves 'available' for extra shifts and make trades with other staff
      • Block scheduling is generally not available
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Ratios: 1:4-5
        • EMR: Cerner
        • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
        • Holidays: Rotate in with core staff
        • Scrub Color: Navy - under shirts must be navy, white, or black. Scrub jackets are optional, must be navy
        • Tele: Yes, must be able to read and interpret EKG strips
        • Vents: No
        • Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Yes
        • IV Team: No
        • RT 24/7: Yes
        • Pharmacy 24/7: Yes
        • Floating: All other Sacramento facilities. Mid-shift float to another facility is rare, but can happen
        • Floor specific orientation: 1 - 2 days on the floor with preceptor

          • COVID Vaccine Required (Certification)
          • Modules are required to be done before start of assignment. Modules take on average 3-4 hours
          • Holiday RTO: Will work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, X-mas & New Years)
          • Managers will make the final call on scheduling, this verbiage will be on the confirmation
          • **Holiday time off will be considered, however not guaranteed**
