2 days a week in either or Walnut Creek, CA or Phoenix, AZ
office.
Job SummaryThe Data Engineer will contribute to the full lifecycle
of design, development, implementation and maintenance of data
warehouse, analytics, and business intelligence platforms to
provide company-wide data services in an Agile environment. Primary
Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-quality solutions and processes that
delight customers and partners
- Perform data analysis and data mapping between cloud based
applications and the data warehouse
- Create and maintain Entity-Relationship Diagrams (logical and
physical)
- Deliver solutions that balance investment in technology with
business objectives
- Work collaboratively using Scrum and Kanban methodologies to
plan and deliver on commitments
- Collaborate with other domain experts, product owners, and
management
- Ability to establish rapport with people in and outside of
IT
- Explain complex subjects to a diverse audience with a wide
variety of technical and business skills
- Think independently and creatively to streamline work and root
out inefficiencies
- Coach teammates to achieve performance improvements, increase
velocity and quality of output
- Anticipate and remove technical and organizational
roadblocks
- Provide advice and recommendations on future use of technology
Essential Skills
- Ability to work with advanced tools and techniques in software
development, data analysis, data quality, and business
intelligence
- Proficient with full-cycle SDLC (requirements analysis, design,
evaluation of technologies, development, release and version
control, testing methodologies and deployment management)
- Create and maintain documentation (design documents, release
logs, system diagrams)
- Strong planning skills, including mapping out dependencies,
milestones, estimates and timelines
- Strong collaboration ability with management, peers, and
external teams to accomplish deliverables
- Leadership skills, with conviction and determination in
delivery of technical solutions
- Guide translation of architecture, requirements, and designs
into high quality production-ready products and services
- Supports local and remote developers, working different shifts
and time-zones
- Provide advice and decision-support to peers, analysts, and
management team in strategic and tactical decisions
- Perform technical reviews of work product to ensure quality
construction
- Contribute to AAA product/service development as neededRequired
Experience
- 5+ years database warehousing experience (Oracle/BigQuery)
- 3+ years ETL development experience (Composer/Airflow, Google
Data Fusion, SSIS)
- 1+ years of experience using Agile methodologies
- Must have experience in the following Google Cloud Platform
technologies: BigQuery, Composer/Airflow, SSIS, Cloud Functions,
Dataflow, Cloud DataFusion, Cloud SQL, Memory Store and Cloud
Storage
- Collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence)
- Must be a Google Cloud Certified Professional Data
EngineerEducation
- Bachelor's degree in related area (Computer Science,
Information Systems, or related technical discipline) or an
equivalent combination of education and

We target between minimum and midpoint of the range, and all offers
are subject to a fair pay analysis - Compensation Range: Min:
$124,853.00 - Mid: $156,065.00- Max: $187,279.00-
